A Garage Roof Upgrade With Solar Refit

We were asked to strip and replace this garage flat roof, upgrading it to a modern eco-friendly single ply membrane. After disconnecting and removing the existing solar panels, we stripped off the existing felt bitumen and plywood to expose the roof joists. We then fitted new 18mm WPB plywood, adhered Alwitra single ply membrane and fitted new aluminium trim profiles around the perimeter.

With the roof complete, we fitted membrane-coated solar bar profiles and fully welded them to the new roof covering. The solar panels were mounted on these bars, so they do not sit on or penetrate the roof, and reconnected for the customer.
