What Is Cold-Applied Liquid Waterproofing?
Liquid waterproofing roofing uses a PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) membrane that is painted or rolled straight onto the roof. It cures into one seamless, fully bonded layer with no joints.
It works well on roofs with lots of penetrations, awkward upstands or irregular shapes, where a sheet membrane is difficult to dress neatly.
We mainly use it alongside our single ply installations, applying it to the tricky details. The liquid is compatible with the membranes we lay, so the whole roof ends up watertight.

Preparing the surface
The areas are cleaned and prepared. The liquid bonds to most substrates, including concrete, timber, metal and existing membranes.
Applying the membrane
The liquid is brushed or rolled on around penetrations, upstands and junctions, tying in with the main single ply membrane.
Sign-off & warranty
We check the finished roof with you and hand over your 20-year warranty and 10-year Insurance-Backed Guarantee.

For most roofs, a single ply sheet membrane does the main job. Liquid waterproofing comes in where the roof has lots of penetrations, tight upstands or odd shapes that a sheet cannot cover without risk. Used together, the two give a continuous waterproof layer. It is also UV resistant and suits both new build and refurbishment work.
