Ossemsley Manor House, New Forest
A manor house with a long history: a POW camp during the war, a base before D-Day, and later a nightclub converted by the Kray twins.
Stopping Water Ingress on Two Levels
This manor house was used as a POW camp during the war and as a base before D-Day, and the Kray twins later converted it into a nightclub.
The client had water ingress on two levels, one of them the spire of the tower. We completely stripped the existing felt bitumen and plywood substrate. The joists underneath were rotten, so we replaced them all and added extra structural bracing. We then fixed new 18mm plywood and laid a two-layer felt system (Strata Pro M). The lower roof area is now ready for its new decking.
