The Project

A Warm Roof Extension and Terrace in Newbury

On the main roof, we installed a VCL followed by mechanically fixed tapered insulation to ply, from 150mm to 120mm, to achieve the required U-values and correct falls. We then installed Evalon VSK self-adhered membrane up and over the parapet, ready to be finished with bespoke aluminium capping. The skylight upstands were finished in VSK; three will have skylights installed and the other is left open and finished with bespoke capping. Three pre-formed vertical internal outlets were installed, which are discreet and keep the roof neat.

The terrace is a 25m² cold roof with a surrounding parapet, with VSK brought up and over ready for bespoke capping. The two adjoining 9m hidden gutters and the terrace were waterproofed by fully adhering Evalon VSK straight to ply, with a 20-year warranty issued.
