A Warm Roof Extension in Sandbanks
For this project, the client asked us to build a warm roof extension as part of a wider refurbishment. After discussing the request with the client, we planned a 35m² extension.
The work involved installing an Alwitra VSK single ply membrane, fully adhered to the 18mm hardwood ply deck. We chose SKL Alwitra primer to provide full adhesion once installed.
Longevity, Without the Extra Cost
We selected Alwitra VSK because it matched the building's aesthetics and offers long service life. It also removed the need for costly additional termination bars and cover straps. Alwitra VSK is a versatile membrane that suits a box gutter like the one at Lilliput Road: it could be installed from the flat roof deck, into the box gutter, and finished along the perimeter edge in one piece.
To complete the installation, we fitted a 50mm aluminium drip-edge onto the fascias. The client was pleased with the results and with the money we saved them.
