A complete renovation of an old bar/nightclub on Poole High Street being converted into apartments, starting with a new warm roof on the main roof.
A Felt Warm Roof to Match Next Door
We carried out an initial inspection of the existing flat roof on the main roof of the building. The main roof adjoins the neighbouring roof in the middle, and the neighbouring roof had been completed in felt bitumen, so we chose a new warm roof and felt system for a complete join.
The falls had already been created in the roof structure, so we could install a flat insulation board and maintain the correct water flow. We covered the existing felt with a self-adhered vapour control layer, 140mm PIR insulation, a Strata Base felt layer and the Strata Pro M cap sheet felt system. The work also included outlets and lead work.
Next, we will be working on the three new build flat roofs, which also involve some mono-pitch roofing elements.
