An Extension and Garage in Poole

On the extension, we installed 15mm over-fascia vents on top of the fascias, protected with 1.2m felt support trays. We laid Proctor Roofshield vapour permeable breathable felt with 25mm x 50mm yellow treated battens fixed into the 400mm centre joists, and finished in Rosemary clay eave tiles, tile-and-halves and plain tiles. Rosemary bonnets on the hips give the extension a neat finish, with an Ultimate dry ridge and Code 4 lead flashings around the abutment walls.

The garage pitched roof followed the same build-up: 15mm over-fascia vents protected with 1.2m felt support trays, Proctor Roofshield breathable felt and 25mm x 50mm yellow treated battens into the 400mm centre joists, finished in Rosemary clay eave tiles, tile-and-halves and plain tiles. We fitted 150mm cement board to the verges with a mortar wet verge and an Ultimate dry ridge system.

The garage's 15m² flat roof was finished in Alwitra VSK single ply membrane, fully adhered straight to the 18mm plywood substrate, with 75mm slate grey water check trims and 50mm slate grey drip trim profiles around the perimeter.
