The Project

From Old Felt to Single Ply

The client asked for the old felt to be removed, with all plywood and hard edges taken off and disposed of. We advised removing the old felt because of blistering and cracks, and a new timber surface would give a much better looking finish.

We fixed new 18mm ply to the existing joists so that water runs freely to the guttering edge, keeping pooling to a minimum. Evalon VSK 1.2 membrane was then fully self-adhered to the new 18mm plywood, and we fitted water check trims and drip trims around the perimeter to capture water and direct it towards the guttering edge.
