Waterproofing a Home in Broadstone

We were approached by a client who wanted to waterproof their roof to give their home additional protection. The job was straightforward and required a single ply membrane.

The main challenge was making sure the finished roof would protect the interior from damp and cold air. The waterproofing had to withstand driving rain and heavy snowfall while keeping its appearance. The roof also sat beneath an overhanging gutter pipe, so our team checked the gutter for any issues and made sure the rainwater system drained into a nearby drain rather than directly onto the roof.

Stripped Back and Re-Waterproofed

We started by removing and disposing of the existing waterproofing and stripping the roof right back. We then applied an Alwitra Avalon single ply membrane, fully adhered to the plywood and finished with matching trims. Our team also checked the rainwater system to make sure it would not dump water onto the roof once we had finished.
